Self Massage Workshop: Upper Back, Neck & Shoulders

This workshop is a deep dive into getting to know your body, the inner connections of muscle, tendons and fascia, and how they relate to each other. You’ll explore where you hold areas of tension, stress and range of motion limitations. Along the way, you will learn how to use different sized pliable balls, rollers and targeted tools to explore your body and any potential blind spots or areas of tension.

The workshop will start with a brief introduction to what self myofascial release is and why it is a helpful tool. Then we will perform a targeted yoga flow accessing all your senses to check in with your body in the here and now. This will lead us right into a juicy dive into common areas of tension and different techniques to address these areas

This workshop would be a 2 hour self myofascial release class using a variety of different sized balls, tools and rollers. The class will be a brief intro to self myofascial release followed by yoga inspired movements to explore the body. Then there will be checks and re- checks to determine areas of tension followed by a brief roll out to address these areas. In this workshop we will focus on the upper back, neck and shoulders This is great if you have ever used these tools before OR if you are brand new!
